Edit Qualifications Catalogue - Create Qualifications Group (OOQA)
Purpose
Use this procedure to create a Qualifications Group. This grouping is used within the Qualifications Catalog to group together types of qualifications you want to record within the organisation, e.g. Languages, Office Skills, etc. The grouping can be used subsequently for reporting and analysis.
Trigger
Perform this procedure when:
You are setting up your system for the first time.
You want to record qualifications for an employee and find that no suitable category exists.
You introduce a new type of skill or competency and no suitable category exists.
Prerequisites
A current Plan version exists for your organisation. This will be set up on implementation.
Navigation Path
Use the following navigation path to begin this transaction:
Select to go to the Catalog: Change Qualification(s) screen.
Field Description Tables
The R/O/C column of each Field Description table indicates whether the field usage is:
R - Required in SAP.
O - Optional in SAP.
C - Conditional in SAP.
Procedure
1. Start the transaction using the navigation path.
2. Double click on Edit Qualifications Catalogue to go to the
Catalog: Change Qualification(s) screen.

The word Catalog at the top of the window is automatically highlighted.

The period displayed to the right of Catalog represents the period you are editing.
This date is set as default, but can be changed if required. In the example
above, the key date is set to 01.01.1900, with an end date of 31.12.9999. By
modifying the key date, you control the Qualifications that are displayed and
the default start date for any new Qualifications created.

Create Qualification
group window.
4. As required, complete the following fields:

to save your entries.

The system displays the message "

Data
saved".

Click
to close the window and go to the
Catalog:
Change Qualification(s) screen.

The new Qualification Group is displayed in the catalogue.
7. To create additional Qualifications Groups, highlight Catalog at the top of the window and repeat Steps
3 to
6 as necessary.

Sub-categories for Qualifications Groups can also be created, if required. Highlight
the Qualifications Group, rather than the Catalog and repeat as above.

9. You have completed this transaction.
Result
You have created a Qualifications Group and can assign qualifications to it.
