Edit Appraisals Catalogue - Create Criteria and Groups (OOAM)
Purpose
Use this procedure to create appraisal Criteria and Groups, to reflect the appraisal system(s) used in your organisation. Appraisal Criteria groups form the main headings under which a number of Criteria are specified, as a basis for evaluation.
Trigger
Perform this procedure when:
•  You are setting up your system for the first time.
•  You introduce a new appraisal system or add a new category and/or criteria for review.
Prerequisites
•  You have set up an Appraisal model in your catalogue.
Reference To create Appraisal models, refer to procedure Edit Appraisals Catalogue - Create Appraisal Model.
Navigation Path
Use the following navigation path to begin this transaction:
•  Select Processes è Human Resources è Qualifications & Appraisals è Appraisals è Edit Appraisals Catalogue to go to the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen.
Helpful Hints
•  If you already have appraisal forms, use these to form the basis of your groups and criteria.
Field Description Tables
The R/O/C column of each Field Description table indicates whether the field usage is:
R - Required in SAP.
O - Optional in SAP.
C - Conditional in SAP.
Procedure
1. Start the transaction using the navigation path.

2. Double click Edit Appraisals Catalogue to go to the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen.

Note The word Catalog at the top of the window is automatically highlighted.
Caution The period displayed to the right of Catalog represents the period you are editing. This date is set up on implementation, but can be changed if required. In the example above, the key date is set to 01.01.1900, with an end date of 31.12.9999. By modifying the key date, you control the Appraisal models that are displayed and the default start date for any new models created.
3. Click Checkbox Unselected to the left of the Appraisal model for which you want to create a Criteria group or Criteria.
4. Click Image to go to the Create window.

5. Perform one of the following:
If
Go To
You want to create a Criteria group
You want to create a Criterion or Criteria
 
6. Highlight Criteria group and click Image to go to the Create Criteria group window.

Note Data for Result and Proficiencies is derived from the Appraisal model, but can be changed if required.
7. As required, complete or review the following fields:
Criteria group
Valid from
to
Description
 
8. Click Image to save your entries.

Note The system displays the message "Data saved".
9. Click Image to close the window and go to the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen.

Note The Appraisal model now has at least one Criteria group assigned to it, as indicated by the Image icon.
10. Perform one of the following:
If
Go To
You wish to exit without creating Appraisal criteria
You wish to create Appraisal criterion or criteria
 
11. From the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen, click Image to expand the model, for which you want to create appraisal Criteria. See example on the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen below.

12. Click Checkbox Unselected to the left of the Criteria group for which you want to create criteria.
13. Click Image to go to the Create Criterion window.

14. As required, complete or review the following fields:

15. Click Image to save your entries.

Note The system displays the message "Data saved".
16. Click Image to close the window and go to the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen.

Note The Criteria group now has at least one Criterion assigned to it, as indicated by the Image icon.
17. Check your new criterion is assigned correctly by clicking Image to expand the group, for which you assigned the new criterion. See example on the Catalog: Change Appraisal model screen.

18. To create further criteria, repeat Steps 12 to 17 above.
19. Click Go Back to go to the SAP Easy Access Main Menu screen.
20. You have completed this transaction.
Result
You have created Criteria groups and/or Criteria that can be used when creating an appraisal for an employee.
